Compelling Proof That Ancient Egyptians Were More Advanced Than Their Contemporaries
We bled Africa for four and a half centuries. Then we plundered its raw materials; Thereafter, it was said: they [blacks] are good for nothing. In the name of religion, their culture was destroyed. And now, as we must do things more elegantly, we steal their brains through scholarships. Then, we see that the unfortunate Africa isn’t in a shiny State, it generates no elites. After being enriched at its expense, we give him lessons”- Jacques Chirac, (former French president)
We have been told that Africa was, and still is, a backward and uncivilized place that needed to be modernized. That without a mighty hand of deliverance we would not have been brought into the light of modern civilization. However history tells a much different story. It tells a story of a rather advanced people. We shall look at two of their major advances in this article-their navigational and medical skills.
#1. Africans Traveled The World
The ancient Egyptian were not only ship builders, they were explorers as well. These ships that date back as far as three to four thousand B.C. show the Egyptians using sails to navigate the seas.
There is now evidence that they traveled as far as Europe and the Americas, both north and south, leaving their footprints behind. Unlike the Europeans, who believed that if one went to far you would fall off the earth and thereby, restricted the amount and distance of their travel. The Egyptians had no sure concern.
#2. Egyptians Were Far More Advanced Than Their Peers In Medicine
In Egypt, men are more skilled in medicine than any of humankind’.
Homer in his seventh/eight century epic, the Odyssey
To the ancient Greeks the Egyptians were the mastermind of medical science. The Egyptians were far advanced for their time, Blacks were not savages= clearly. Many of the medical practices that are used in modern medicine originated with the Egyptians.

The medical history books will have to be revised, says Roger Highfield
The Egyptians – not the ancient Greeks – were the true fathers of medicine, according to a study that pushes back the origins by at least a millennium.
Scientists examining documents dating back 3,500 years say they have found proof that the inception lies not with Hippocrates (460BC-370BC) and the Greeks but in ancient Egypt and the likes of Imhotep (2667BC – 2648BC), who designed the pyramids at Saqqara and was elevated to become the god of healing.
The research team from the KNH Centre for Biomedical Egyptology at The University of Manchester discovered the evidence in medical papyri written in 1,500BC – some 1,000 years before Hippocrates was born.
The team also discovered prescriptions for laxatives of castor oil, colocynth (a bitter fruit), figs and bran. Other references show that colic was treated with hyoscyamus plants, still used today, and that cumin and coriander were used to relieve flatulence…
…They used celery and saffron for rheumatism, which are currently topics of pharmaceutical research, and pomegranate was used to eradicate tapeworms, a remedy that remained in clinical use until half a century ago.
“Many of the ancient remedies we discovered survived into the 20th century and, indeed, some remain in use today, albeit that the active component is now produced synthetically,” said Dr Campbell.
“Other ingredients endure and acacia is still used in cough remedies while aloes forms a basis to soothe and heal skin conditions.”[divider]
Surgery & Prosthesis
Their advance understanding of medicine allowed them to practice limited amounts of surgeries a early as 2750 B.C.. They were the first to use prosthesis as the pictures above reveal.. They also performed such medical procedures as:
- Filling of dental cavities
- Cesarean sections
- Anesthesias. (the use of anesthetics)
This provides us with further evidence that blacks were not savages by any means.
As a result of mummification the early Egyptians were the first to perform ‘plastic surgery’. There is no evidence though that they were performed on living persons. Ramses II’s mommy was surgically altered by having a small bone and a handful of seeds inserted into his nose in an attempt to improve his physical appearance.
The above example should put paid to the revisionist history. One which perpetuates the white supremacist propaganda, that blacks were not as advanced as their European counterparts and therefore needed, through slavery and colonization, to be brought into civilization. No! The evidence clearly reveals that blacks were not savages by any stretch of the imagination.
